Dakota State University is committed to the safety and security of its students, faculty, and staff. The safety of our campus community during an emergency requires planning and awareness. A committee of senior administrators routinely assesses safety risks and leads efforts to mitigate them. A variety of University departments are involved in planning for and responding to emergencies.
In the event of an emergency on campus, the University uses multiple methods of emergency notification to inform the campus community and general public about the nature of the emergency and the response being taken. Those methods include information on the media, on the University's emergency page, homepage (dsu.edu) and using email.
The University's goal is to ensure that when emergencies or accidents arise their impact is minimal and we can return to normal activities as soon possible.
To report an emergency on campus dial 9-911 (if using a DSU phone.)
