Our general studies program is for students still undecided about their careers. It gives you the freedom to explore your options and see what you're most interested in. It also serves as an entry program for students who want to seek admission to higher ed programs but need more credentials to do so. You can build your own degree program and tailor it to fit your needs.

Benefits of studying general studies at DSU

You'll need to complete 60 credit hours, with 30 of these from the general education requirements. Additional credits and electives can come from any discipline. See what classes you can choose from in the undergraduate catalog.

Outside of class, there are a number of student activities and clubs to get involved in. Scholarships and grants are also available for our general studies students.

Integrated technology

At DSU, technology is integrated into all of our degree programs. You'll get a diverse education. But, you'll also become knowledgeable and comfortable with technology in a variety of venues.
