Our general studies program is for students with a variety of career goals. You can build your own degree program with a general studies major. You'll obtain a well-rounded liberal arts education and tailor your studies to fit your needs. It's also a good option if you have college credits in a number of distinct fields and want to complete your bachelor's degree.

You'll need to complete the general education requirements. Then, choose 15 credits each from three areas of emphasis. Additional credits and electives can come from any discipline. See what classes you can choose from in the undergraduate catalog.

Benefits of studying general studies at DSU

At DSU, technology is integrated into all of our degree programs. You'll get a diverse education. But, you'll also become knowledgeable and comfortable with technology in a variety of venues.
