Admission on Probation

I don't meet the admission requirements. What do I need to do?

We know that not all students are the same—and not all students meet our regular admissions requirements. That’s why we often allow students to be accepted to DSU on probation.

To be admitted on probation, you’ll need to meet at least one of these three requirements:

  • Get an ACT composite score of 16 or above, or get a subscore on the SAT Reasoning Test Math and Critical Reading of 760 or above
  • Earn a cumulative GPA of 2.3 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
  • Rank in the upper 70% of your high school graduating class

Whether you’re a transfer student, undergraduate, graduate student, international student, or veteran, we’ll keep you posted on your status and any restrictions at all times.

You also may have some limits placed on your registration, and you’ll be expected to meet regularly with a member of our student development staff over the course of the semester to monitor your progress.
