Biography
Dr. Edward Dennis loves helping others achieve their goals in their careers and education.
He has worked in Information Technology for more than 40 years. His career started in electronics in the U.S. Army as a radar tech. After the service, he worked for eight years in the field of electronics, including a year as a locomotive electrician on the railroad. In the field of Information Technology, he worked for 15 years as a Field Engineer, servicing mainframe and mid-range computers for a major computer manufacturer and service organizations. He has also worked in the role of System Administrator and Network Administrator. After getting his MSIA at DSU, he worked for the next 16 years with several government contractors as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Network and computer security and the Federal Information Systems Management Act (FISMA).
In contracting with the federal government, Dr. Dennis has fulfilled roles as Senior Systems Engineer, Information Security Analyst, Systems Architect, Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE), and Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for government agencies including USGS, DoT, DoD, and NASA.

He has published papers on “Project success factors when implementing and maintaining Information Technologies,” “Performance Evaluation of Lane Correction Module Stress Test.”
- Dr. Dennis has presented at local and national conferences and symposiums on Zero Trust Networking, Internet of Things, Cloud Security Checklist, System and Software Security Development Lifecycle, Vulnerability Management, and Wireless Networking.
