Alumni Awards & Recognition

The Dakota State University Alumni Association has a long history of acknowledging our members for their accomplishments and successes. Since 1970 we have been honoring these accomplishments through our Outstanding and Distinguished Alumni awards. If you know a DSU alumni who is worthy of such recognition, please submit their information for consideration by our Awards and Recognition Committee.

Outstanding and Distinguished Alumni Awards

Distinguished Alumnus/Alumna recognizes an alumnus/alumna who has notable achievements in his/her profession and contributions to DSU and society. 

Outstanding Alumni – Young Alumnus/Alumna Achievement recognizes an alumnus/alumna, age 35 or younger, who has notable achievements in his/her profession and contributions to DSU and society. 

Outstanding Alumni – Service to Alma Mater recognizes an alumnus/alumna who has demonstrated outstanding service and contributions to Dakota State University and student success. 

Outstanding Alumni – Educator recognizes an alumnus/alumna who has accomplished notable service and/or achievement in the field of education. 

Outstanding Alumni – Professional Achievement recognizes an alumnus/alumna who has notable achievements in his/her profession. 

Outstanding Alumni – Alumni Coach of the Year recognizes an alumnus/alumna who has directly influenced the success of athletic programs student athletes through coaching.
