Dr. Avery is a mathematics faculty member who works in fixed point theory. He currently serves as an editor for three mathematics journals, has published over fifty papers in mathematics journals and has been cited over fifteen hundred times. Originally trained as a high school mathematics teacher, he advises most of the math education majors at DSU, helps college students prepare for the Praxis mathematics content exams and also works with high school students preparing for the math portion of the ACT exam.
