Make a difference for DSU students. Give back today.
Donations to the DSU Foundation help fund student scholarships and other academic opportunities throughout the university. You can make a gift to DSU via mail, phone, or online—or leave a legacy. By leaving DSU in your estate plan, you become a member of the Heritage Society.
Tax-deductible. DSU is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. You will receive a receipt for tax purposes.
Matching gifts. Your employer may match your gift to DSU. To find out if your company participates in such a program, ask your HR department if they match gifts. To make a match, ask your company’s matching gift officer for a matching gift form. Then, send it along with your gift to the DSU Foundation. Contact us for assistance.
Ways to give
For your convenience, you may proceed through the online giving process, print a pledge form, and mail it in with your gift. Make your check out to Dakota State University Foundation and mail it to:
Dakota State University Foundation
820 N Washington Ave
Madison, SD 57042
Dakota State University employees may have gifts deducted from their DSU paycheck each month, by returning a Faculty & Staff Giving Form to the DSU Foundation Office.
You may authorize a monthly transfer of funds from your checking or savings account to the Foundation. Simply print, complete, and send an EFT Form.
If you'd like to contact the Foundation by phone to arrange a gift, you can reach us at 605-256-5693.
Every year our DSU Phonathon student callers also conduct a series of important telephone campaigns to raise funds for college and departmental needs and for other special projects. You may pledge your support when a student calls during one of these campaigns as well.
Gifts of marketable stocks, bonds, or mutual fund shares that have appreciated can have an immediate impact on the DSU programs you wish to support. They’ll also create an immediate income tax deduction for you based on the stock's current value. Contact Mark Millage, VP for Institutional Advancement to give a gift of stock.
Tax benefits can be realized through land and commodity gifts. Consult with your tax advisor and crop insurance agent for more information. DSU Foundation and its employees do not provide tax or legal advice, however, to set up a transfer of these gifts contact Jill Ruhd, Development Officer.
