In June of 2017 I became DSU’s provost and vice president for academic affairs. In my previous position as dean of science and engineering at Southern Arkansas University, I worked to increase student enrollment and retention, initiated accreditation for chemistry and engineering and gained certification for the Natural Resource Research Center. I was also actively involved with economic development projects and community partnerships.
I have an extensive research history with alternative energy, petroleum products, crystal engineering and proton exchange membranes for hydrogen fuel cells. My research was supported by grants from the National Science Foundation, the American Chemical Society and the Leonard Wood Institute-Army Research Laboratory.
