Michael is an instructor in the college of Business and Information Systems where he focuses primarily in the security-oriented degrees.  In the security degrees, he teaches in a number of focus areas including programming, system administration, and enterprise level routing, switching, and firewall configuration. You will also find Michael in DSU security events such as CCDC, DakotaCon, and the GenCyber camps.

Dr. Chris Olson teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses, specializing in Office applications, both client and server side web programming, and developing dynamic mobile applications. He serves on the Barrier Free Learning Committee and his research interests include accessibility, utilization of assistive software technology, and universal design concepts.

Dr. Jeffrey Palmer teaches various applied mathematics courses including Calculus, Statistics, Mathematics of Games, and Mathematical Modeling. His research includes work in epidemiological modeling, woodpecker foraging ecology, migration phenology associated with climate change, and American Dipper population modeling. He is an expert on the spatial and temporal distribution of South Dakota birds and coauthor of Birds of South Dakota.

Dr. Streff is professor and director of the FinTech Cyber Lab, which is part of the Madison Cyber Labs (MadLabs), an interdisciplinary security and privacy research center at Dakota State University. He has extensive knowledge of the financial services industry, including banking, insurance, and credit operations. Dr. Streff is founder and strategist of SBS Cybersecurity, a security consulting, education and auditing firm focused on improving security in community banks and credit unions across the country. Dr. Streff is founder and past president of InfraGard - South Dakota, a partnership program between private industry and the U.S. government. Dr. Streff has testified several times to congressional committees in the field and in Washington DC, helping lawmakers understand the security issues which need attention in the banking sector. He speaks nationally on security issues and solutions relevant to small and medium-sized banks, and has worked with Inc. Magazine, Forbes, CNN, National Public Radio, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal to communicate his ideas.
