Dr. Ham is an Assistant Professor in the Beacom College of Computer and Cyber Sciences. His primary teaching focuses are in the security-focused undergraduate degree programs as well as the D.Sc. Cyber Security program. Within the security degrees, Dr. Ham teaches cyber operations, enterprise routing & switching, low-level programming, offensive security, and malware topics. Outside of of the classroom, you will find Dr. Ham in security events around campus such as CCDC, DakotaCon, and the GenCyber summer camps.

Dr. Chris Olson teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses, specializing in Office applications, both client and server side web programming, and developing dynamic mobile applications. He serves on the Barrier Free Learning Committee and his research interests include accessibility, utilization of assistive software technology, and universal design concepts.

Dr. Palmer holds a B.A. in Mathematics and a B.S. in Biology from Bemidji State University. He earned a M.S. and  a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Washington State University and did a postdoc at Cornell. He has been at DSU for 26 years teaching a wide variety of applied mathematics courses. His research interests include computer simulation and mathematical modeling, particularly of problems in ecology. Current interests include investigation of metapopulation dynamics in structured habitats, the evolution of migration timing in birds, and combat models in game design. Past projects include modeling of American Dipper populations in the Black Hills of South Dakota, Downy Woodpecker foraging ecology, correlation of climate change with spring arrival dates in birds, and co-authoring Birds of South Dakota. His ardent hobby is birding and you might just find him anywhere in the state on a quest to find a new bird for his list.

Dr. Streff is professor and director of the FinTech Cyber Lab, which is part of the Madison Cyber Labs (MadLabs), an interdisciplinary security and privacy research center at Dakota State University. He has extensive knowledge of the financial services industry, including banking, insurance, and credit operations. Dr. Streff is founder and strategist of SBS Cybersecurity, a security consulting, education and auditing firm focused on improving security in community banks and credit unions across the country. Dr. Streff is founder and past president of InfraGard - South Dakota, a partnership program between private industry and the U.S. government. Dr. Streff has testified several times to congressional committees in the field and in Washington DC, helping lawmakers understand the security issues which need attention in the banking sector. He speaks nationally on security issues and solutions relevant to small and medium-sized banks, and has worked with Inc. Magazine, Forbes, CNN, National Public Radio, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal to communicate his ideas.
