Software developers will be in high demand as the number of people using digital platforms increases. Developers will work on a wide variety of projects, from devising applications for specific tasks on computers or other devices to creating the underlying systems that run the devices or control networks on smart phones and tablets. This certificate will introduce students to the basic knowledge, theory and application needed for new software development, including problem solving, algorithm development, design and programming concepts.

All courses in this certificate program meet either core or elective requirements for additional degrees, so are stackable into the associate degrees in Software Development, or Network & Security Administration as well as the bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science, Cyber Operations, and Network & Security Administration.
