Dorine is the Academic Dean of College of Business and Information Systems. She is an active member of national and regional health information management associations, and has earned Fellowship status in the American Health Information Management Association. Prior to coming to DSU, she worked in the health information management field in long term care, community health, and acute care settings.

Omar El-Gayar, Ph.D. is a Professor of Information Systems. His research interests include: analytics, business intelligence, and decision support with applications in problem domain areas such as healthcare, environmental management, and security planning and management. His inter-disciplinary educational background and training is in information technology, computer science, economics, and operations research. Dr. El-Gayar’s industry experience includes working as an analyst, modeler, and programmer. His numerous publications appear in various IT related fields. He is a member of AIS, ACM, INFORMS, and DSI.

Position: Associate Professor of Computer Science & Information Systems / Coordinator for MSIS

Renae Spohn is the Director of the Health Information Management programs at Dakota State University. She is also the Coordinator of the Master of Science in Health Informatics and Information Management program.

She is a registered health information administrator (RHIA), a certified professional in healthcare informatics (CPHI) and healthcare quality (CPHQ), and a fellow in the American Health Information Management Association and in the National Association for Healthcare Quality.
