DSU signs new articulation agreements with Lake Area Tech

May 21, 2025

Dakota State University has three new articulation agreements with Lake Area Technical College (LATC) that have been approved by South Dakota Board of Regents.

“This is a win-win for both partners in the agreement,” said Dr. Dorine Bennett, dean of the College of Business & Information Systems. “The new agreements show a clear path for students who want to pursue a bachelor’s degree, Lake Area Tech will have this in place to help guide their students, making DSU’s programs more attractive to students enrolled in their programs.”

Students who attend LATC and earn an associate degree in computer information systems can transfer their credits to Dakota State to complete a bachelor’s degree in either network & security administration or computer information systems. Additionally, LATC students who earn an associate degree in business or financial services can join DSU’s Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program.

"These agreements strengthen the bridge between technical and university-level education, creating valuable opportunities for our graduates to seamlessly advance their academic and career goals,” said Lake Area Technical College Vice President Cam Corey. “We’re proud to partner with Dakota State University to provide clear, affordable, and high-quality pathways that empower students to continue building their futures."
