Biography
Hobbies: I love playing in the dirt (gardening) in the summer. I'm trying to keep the old-fashioned art of canning and preserving alive and well, so in the summer you'll often find me in my kitchen doing all things canning! I also love to bake and try new recipes. In the summer you'll also find me at Threshing Bee's and tractor shows. I also belong to a Snowmobiling Club called Interlakes Snow Roamers and do have my own snowmobile (haven't been able to ride it yet due to lack of snow the past few winters though).
Fun Fact: I've probably watched every episode of the Golden Girls, Seinfeld and The Office hundreds of times. Gotta love the "classics"...LOL!! I also have never seen the movie Titanic. I'm too stubborn to sit for 3 hours to watch it, plus I already know how it ends...! I enjoy electronic dance music (EDM) and anything that has bass. I was actually ok with my teenage son getting subwoofers in his truck so I can live vicariously through him!
Tip for Future DSU Trojans: Get involved, try new things, and get out of that comfort zone.
Favorite thing about DSU? The atmosphere here is great! People are friendly and campus is quaint with a homelike feel. You feel like you're part of a very large, very diverse family. That sense of belonging is what makes DSU special!
