Biography

Dr. Jayaprakash Reddy Cheenepalli (JP) is a seasoned cybersecurity executive and academic with over two decades of leadership in information security. JP teaches Threat Hunting and Incident Response, bringing a unique blend of real-world enterprise leadership, technical expertise, and academic research into the classroom. His ongoing doctoral research focuses on evaluating and proposing best practices for DevSecOps in small to medium-sized enterprises.

He is currently the Global Director of Cybersecurity at Cencora, where he leads a worldwide team of 30 professionals and manages a $20M budget.

His expertise spans DevSecOps, application security, vulnerability management, attack surface reduction, identity and access management, data protection, security governance, threat hunting, risk management, and security architecture. JP has extensive hands-on experience implementing advanced enterprise security solutions, including endpoint detection and response (EDR), security information and event management (SIEM), and data security platforms. His work also covers incident response, digital forensics, manual penetration testing, and red teaming, providing a comprehensive view of modern cyber defense practices.
