Biography

Dr. Renee Chu-Jacoby is an Assistant Professor of Management whose work joins rigorous scholarship with organizational practice. Her research, published in leading management and organizational psychology journals, asks how organizations create, or constrain, opportunity for the people within and around them. That question is rooted in two decades of founding and advising small businesses and nonprofits, where she saw how strategy and culture shape who thrives. Nearly a decade in graduate business education sharpened that view. She taught management, helped lead MBA and EMBA programs, and advised hundreds of students, many of them first-generation students and working professionals. She teaches the way she researches, starting with real organizations and real people. In her view, business education should open doors, not guard them.
