Biography

Ken Klinner is a member of the Federal Government Senior Executive Service (SES) and serves as the Department of the Interior (DOI) Deputy Chief Information Officer. In this role, he provides executive leadership, strategic guidance, and oversight of the Department’s $2.2 Billion Information Technology investment portfolio.  During his Federal career, he has served as Chief Information Officer (CIO), Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Chief Data Officer (CDO), Chief Knowledge Officer (CKO), Director of the Programs and Portfolios, and Deputy Director of Service Delivery. Prior to federal service, he was in the private sector deploying and managing enterprise technology and data/knowledge management solutions, and served in the US Air Force. Ken holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology.
