Biography
Amber is an instructor in the College of Education & Human Performance. She teaches literacy and language arts methods courses with a focus on evidence-based practices in reading, writing, assessment, and intervention.
Before joining DSU, Amber spent more than 20 years working as an elementary classroom teacher, Title I teacher, and reading interventionist. She is passionate about preparing preservice teachers to connect literacy research with practical, engaging instruction that supports all learners.
