Biography

Dr. Abeer Alkhwaldi joined Dakota State University in 2025 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Systems. A distinguished scholar in her field, her research focuses on the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and the digital transformation of various sectors, including business, healthcare, education, and government. Her academic journey began at the University of Bradford, UK, where she earned a PhD in Management Information Systems and served as a Teaching Assistant for both undergraduate and postgraduate modules.

Prior to her current role, Dr. Alkhwaldi was an Assistant and later Associate Professor of Business Intelligence and Data Analytics at Mutah University in Jordan, where she also served as chair of the department of business intelligence and technology. Her research has been published in many top international peer-reviewed journals.

A prominent leader in academic publishing, Dr. Alkhwaldi holds key editorial positions, including Editor-in-Chief of the International Information & Library Review Journal, and an Editorial Board Member in the International Journal of Enterprise Information Systems. She is a dedicated mentor to graduate students and a frequent speaker at international conferences, sharing her expertise on digital innovation and its societal impact.
