Preparation + opportunity = success

That's the DSU equation. We're a four-year university with nationally recognized programs, cutting-edge facilities, and the brightest thinkers. But we're also a tight-knit, inclusive community. Small class sizes mean hands-on training and individualized attention. All this with an affordable, public school price that's among the best values in the region.

Biography

I have the privilege of working with student teachers during their capstone experience, helping them navigate the final steps of earning their teaching degrees. Through classroom observations, coaching conversations, and collaboration with their mentors, I support student teachers as they prepare to launch their careers in education.

Prior to this role, I taught for eight years. Most of my teaching career was at Madison Elementary, where I was passionate about teaching the whole child, fostering a safe and respectful learning environment, and deepening my understanding of the functionality of school life.
