DSU business programs earn accreditation from ACBSP
August 28, 2025
The College of Business & Information Systems at DSU has achieved full reaffirmation of accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) for its business programs, which include the Master of Business Administration, Bachelor of Business Administration, and Associate of Science in Business Management.
ACBSP is a prominent accrediting body for business education, dedicated to recognizing excellence through continuous improvement. Its evaluation process assesses various factors, including leadership, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, academic quality, faculty qualifications, and educational support services.
DSU has maintained ACBSP accreditation since 2005. During this time, the college has prioritized ongoing improvements in student learning, curriculum development, retention and graduation rates, and faculty qualifications.
“During our last accreditation process, we received feedback highlighting areas for improvement,” said Dr. Deb Tech, associate professor and chair of the business department. “We used that feedback to refine and clarify our learning outcomes, which created a unified focus on student success and provided a solid foundation for strategic discussions. This time, we received an A+ with no conditions.”
This reaffirmation reflects the college’s commitment to continuous improvement and student success. By using feedback from previous reviews to enhance learning outcomes, strengthen the curriculum, and support faculty development, DSU’s business programs are continually adapting to meet the needs of today’s business workforce.
