DSU Teacher Camps Set for Early June

May 15, 2026

Dakota State University will host a pair of virtual camps for educators next month, with DSU Teach Camp scheduled for Friday, June 5 and Cyber Camp for Teachers set for Friday, June 12.

DSU Teach Camp is back for its eleventh year. The camp will offer 15 different sessions on a variety of teaching-related topics — developing lessons, teaching math and literacy, staying motivated, using AI, and more. The event is free, $40 for one graduate credit, or $80 for two graduate credits.

“The lineup for this year’s Teach Camp is stronger than ever,” said camp director Dr. Kevin Smith. “From the storytelling brilliance of James Robinson to hands-on sessions led by the region’s top educators, we are providing the high-level professional development that teachers deserve. Whether it's mastering new technology or refining literacy instruction, there is something here for every educator."

Cyber Camp for Teachers is a one-day event with 12 different sessions on various cyber-focused topics. Educators will explore artificial intelligence, coding, cybersecurity, developing lessons in cyber, and more. The event is free, or $40 for one graduate credit.

"We are excited to offer our Cyber Camp for Teachers in a fully virtual format this year," said Smith, who is an associate professor in DSU’s College of Education & Human Performance. "By moving online, we’re removing geographic barriers and providing a flexible, high-impact option for educators across the state and beyond. Our goal is to ensure that every teacher, regardless of their location, has access to elite training in the digital frontiers that are shaping our students' futures."

Participation in each camp is capped at 500, with limited spots available. More information and registration details are available through the links above, or below:
