DSU welcomes new faculty members

MADISON, S.D. – As Dakota State University welcomes new students to campus for the fall semester, several new faculty members are beginning their own DSU journey.
Eleven new faculty members have joined the university this semester, bringing their knowledge and experience to classrooms, labs, and programs across campus. The new faculty represent areas ranging from computer science, cyber defense, and business to mathematics, education, and science.
“We are excited to welcome these new faculty members to Dakota State and to our campus community,” said Dr. Rebecca Hoey, Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs. “Just as our new students are beginning an important new chapter at DSU, our new faculty are beginning their own journey here. They bring new perspectives, expertise, and experiences that will strengthen our academic programs and enrich the learning environment for our students. We look forward to the impact they will make in our classrooms, across our campus, and in preparing our students for innovative careers.”
DSU’s new faculty members include:

- Daniel Sherban, Science Lab Manager
- Jim Cahill, Visiting Assistant Professor, College of Arts and Sciences – Cyber Leadership and Intelligence
- Tanzim Jim Hassan, Assistant Professor, The Beacom College of Computer and Cyber Sciences – Computer Science
- Jianyuan Ni, Assistant Professor, The Beacom College of Computer and Cyber Sciences – Computer Science
- Koffi (Oswald) Adohinzin, Assistant Professor, The Beacom College of Computer and Cyber Sciences – Cyber Defense
- Milinda Ramel Stone, Assistant Professor, The Beacom College of Computer and Cyber Sciences – Cyber Defense
- Renee Chu-Jacoby, Assistant Professor, College of Business and Information Systems – Business
- Glen Marshall, Assistant Professor, College of Business and Information Systems – Business
- Amber Muller, Instructor, College of Education and Human Performance – Education
- Trent Dawson, Director of Governors Cyber Academy, College of Education and Human Performance – Education
The new faculty join the DSU community as the university begins another academic year focused on providing students with the knowledge, skills, and experiences they need to succeed in their careers.
