Parking Committee Charter

I. COMMITTEE MISSION

The purpose of the Parking Committee is to recommend policy that governs parking for Dakota State University and to hear appeals of parking violations in accordance with DSU parking regulations and the Joint Powers Agreement between the Board of Regents and the City of Madison.

II. COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP AND APPOINTMENTS

  • Vice President for Business and Administrative Services (ex officio)

  • Director of Facilities Management (ex officio)

  • Facilities Management Program Assistant (ex officio)

  • Three (3) students, elected by the DSU Student Senate

  • Three (3) faculty members, elected by the faculty

  • Two (2) NFE staff members, elected by NFE

  • Two (2) CSA staff members, elected by CSA

The Committee will elect a Parking Appeals subcommittee of five members at its first meeting to hear appeals of parking violations. The subcommittee will include representation from faculty, staff and students.
