Earn a minor in health with a K-12 endorsement and share your knowledge of health, nutrition, and wellness with students of all ages. In this program, you will learn how to effectively teach topics such as drug, alcohol, and tobacco education, stress management, nutrition, and various health concepts. Additionally, you will develop an understanding of community health and the roles of public and private health agencies. Completing this program will also certify you in First Aid and CPR.
Admission requirements
An endorsement is a specialized qualification that can be added to a teaching license, which can authorize you to teach in a particular subject, grade level, or educational setting.
To receive the K-12 endorsement, you must either:
- Be enrolled in one of DSU's education degree programs that lead to teaching licensure or
- Must already hold a valid primary teaching license.
