DSU announces move-in plans
June 15, 2020
Dakota State University has announced the move-in plans for fall semester 2020, which have been adjusted due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
This year DSU will be executing a four-day move-in plan to enhance the safety of students and staff. The move-in process will begin on Saturday, August 15 through Tuesday, August 18.
All students will schedule in advance a move-in appointment time. Students will schedule appointments between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. in 15-minute increments (subject to change).
Each student will have one hour beginning from their appointment time to move into their dorm. Students will be allowed to have two individuals over the age of 18 to help them. DSU will not be providing move-in assistance personnel.
These appointments will enable DSU to follow CDC guidelines by limiting the number of individuals on a floor in a residence hall at a given time.
In addition to the four-day move in process, students will have the opportunity to schedule an appointment between Saturday, August 1 and Thursday, August 13 to move their personal items into their assigned room.
Students must complete these early move-ins by scheduling an appointment. Weekday early move-in will run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and weekend early move-in will run from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Students who take advantage of this option will not be allowed to stay on campus until Saturday, August 15, when traditional move-in begins. They are only allowed to move their personal items into their assigned rooms.
