Caribou Coffee coming to DSU
January 22, 2018
Caribou Coffee is coming to the Dakota State University campus.
Beginning January 30, the Minneapolis-based beverage company will be partnering with Einstein’s Bros. Bagels on campus to provide drinks; Einstein’s food will continue to be served.
Einstein’s and Caribou have been corporate partners since 2015, offering their specialty coffees and fresh-baked bagels at select locations. Additional locations opened in 2016, and “DSU is one of the first campuses to serve Caribou drinks, and is the first in the region.” said Gayle Cole, Sodexo catering manager. Sodexo is the university’s food service provider.
“Many of Caribou’s coffees have similar taste profiles to Einstein’s,” Cole said, “but there will also be new favorites for customers.” Beverage choices will include classic and signature coffees including lattes and mochas, blended drinks including coffeeless coolers and smoothies, a variety of teas and juices, and kids’ drinks. Pricing for the Caribou drinks are similar to the current offerings, Cole added.
A welcoming kick-off is planned on Jan. 30, Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, with door prizes for students; on-campus and off-campus businesses will be eligible for a give-away of a coffee and bagel office party.
Einstein’s/Caribou is located in the DSU Trojan Center; off-campus customers may park in any white visitor parking spot on campus, many of which are located near the Trojan Zone bookstore entrance on North Washington Avenue in Madison.
