Rowland to participate in 2016 CRA-W Grad Cohort Workshop
February 4, 2016
Pam Rowland, Instructor for College of Computing in Computer Science at Dakota State University, is one of 20 women selected to participate in the upcoming 2016 CRA-W Grad Cohort Workshop in San Diego, Calif. The Grad Cohort is open to women in their first three years of graduate school. Currently, Rowland is in the process of completing her doctoral program through DSU.
During the two day event in April, Rowland will meet with numerous computer-related researchers and professionals while attending a mix of formal presentations and informal discussions and social events. The goal of the Grad Cohort is to increase the number of senior women in computer-related research while creating mentoring opportunities and building a nationwide network of women through their graduate studies.
The CRA-W Grad Cohort Workshop began in 2004, with funding from industry, academia, the National Science Foundation, and the computing community. For more information, visit http://cra.org/cra-w/events/grad-cohort-workshop-2016/.
