Biography

Dr. Fenecia Homan is the Dean of the Governors Cyber Academy. She oversees the cyber academy for expanding awareness of and access to cyber education and career pathways to students throughout the state of South Dakota and beyond. In this initiative, she develops programming for K-12 cyber education, such as transferrable, university-level dual credit cyber coursework.

Prior to joining the DSU team, Dr. Homan worked at Southeast Technical College, serving in several roles including Associate Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness, Dean of Curriculum and Instruction, Instructor, and Accreditation and Assessment Officer.

Homan earned her doctorate in Developmental Education Administration from Sam Houston State University, a master's degree in Teaching Secondary Mathematics through Minot State, and bachelor's degrees in Education and Mathematics from Minot State University and Augustana College.
