Dakota Prairie Playhouse and Conference Center

Dakota Prairie Playhouse and Conference Center
The Events Center is the perfect venue for events of all sizes from the most intimate gathering to parties with up to 500 guests.

Dakota Prairie Playhouse and Conference Center is a growing partnership between the arts and the community of Madison. The regional multi-purpose facility contains an 80 x 80 ft. conference center, large enough to accommodate banquet seating for 500 people. The theatre portion of the complex offers continental style seating for 700. A lobby joins the two facilities, which permits flexible use by two different groups simultaneously. Whether it is a theatre production, banquet or business meeting, we hope Dakota Prairie Playhouse and Conference Center will be your venue of choice.

Beacom Institute of Technology

Beacom Institute of Technology

The Beacom Institute of Technology offers guests space for conferences, symposiums, or a variety of gatherings. Classrooms and conference rooms have space for 12 to 32 attendees. The open, modern space in the Collaboration Center can host 150 people. All have audio visual capabilities, along with free, guest wireless internet access. A variety of catering options are available through our dining services vendor, Sodexo.

Madison Cyber Labs

Madison Cyber Labs

Dakota State’s newest building, the Madison Cyber Labs, offers meeting and reception space for 40 people in its briefing room; guests can gather and mingle in the adjoining reception area. This space offers audio visual capabilities, along with free, guest wireless internet access. A variety of catering options are available through our dining services vendor, Sodexo.

Making planning easier

Planning your event has never been easier. We have developed terms to help differentiate between the different event types that are requested most.

  • Meeting – a small gathering that usually does not require a great deal of set up, support or arrangements.
  • Conference – any meeting or event that will involve overnight housing with guests staying in Dakota State University’s residence halls. (Summer only)
  • Event – a planned public or social occasion
