Dakota State University students walking around campus

Preparation + opportunity = success

That's the DSU equation. We're a four-year university with nationally recognized programs, cutting-edge facilities, and the brightest thinkers. But we're also a tight-knit, inclusive community. Small class sizes mean hands-on training and individualized attention. All this with an affordable, public school price that's among the best values in the region.

TriBeta to host Careers in Science Speaker Series

April 21, 2022

Dakota State’s TriBeta Biology Honor Society is hosting a DSU Careers in Science Speaker Series on Monday, April 25 at 7 p.m. in the Science Center Auditorium.

DSU alumnus Dr. Chad Kurtenbach, ’02, a leading orthopedic surgeon, will be on campus to talk about his career. He has vast experience working with professional and Division I athletes across the country.

Kurtenbach received his medical degree from the University of Minneapolis, completed his orthopedic residency at Orlando Health in Orlando, Fla., and completed an orthopedic surgery sports medicine fellowship at TRIA Orthopaedic Center in Minneapolis, Minn. He received the DSU Distinguished Alumni Award in 2014. Today he is the head team physician for South Dakota State University.

This is part of a new speaker series sponsored by TriBeta. Each semester they will host a DSU alum who works in science to give talks about their career paths.

The public is invited to attend the event.
