Garret Leiseth won a national Delta Mu Delta scholarship.
“Learning that I earned the Charles Fazzi Award was an incredible feeling,” he said. “It was a moment of both pride and gratitude, knowing that my hard work and dedication to my studies and on-campus involvement had been recognized on a national level.”
The Charles Fazzi Award is a $1,000 scholarship that recognizes students with a generosity of spirit, creativity, and resources who are outstanding business students.
Leiseth is inspired by Dr. Charles Fazzi, a former president of Delta Mu Delta, noting his “legacy inspires me to push the boundaries of what I can achieve.”
To apply for the scholarship, Leiseth looked back at his accomplishments, outlined his future goals, and demonstrated how his academic and extracurricular experiences align with the values of Delta Mu Delta.
“It’s a huge honor to be awarded a national scholarship like this one,” he said. “It puts me in a select group of students who are recognized not only for academic performance but also for leadership potential.”
Leiseth, from Crooks, South Dakota, is currently earning his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in entrepreneurship. He will finish his degree this coming May and his MBA with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence by May 2026.
“Ultimately, I aspire to establish myself in the consulting industry. The current plan is to focus on AI integration and strategic business development, where I can help companies navigate the evolving technological landscape while fostering innovation and growth.”
