Academic Appeals Committee Charter
I. COMMITTEE MISSION
The mission of the Academic Appeals Committee is to review students’ appeals regarding their academic status, make decisions regarding students’ appeals, and document those decisions.
II. COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP AND APPOINTMENTS
At least three faculty committee members should be present at any committee meeting where voting occurs, with a faculty committee member from the college of the student under consideration being required. Alternate committee members will be used when a primary committee member is unavailable.
- Director of Admissions (Chair, Ex Officio)
- Director of Counseling Services (Ex Officio)
- One (1) faculty member, elected by the Beacom College of Computer and Cyber Sciences
- One (1) faculty member alternate, elected by the Beacom College of Computer and Cyber Sciences
- One (1) faculty member, elected by the College of Arts and Sciences
- One (1) faculty member alternate, elected by the College of Arts and Sciences
- One (1) faculty member, elected by the College of Business and Information Systems
- One (1) faculty member alternate, elected by the College of Business and Information Systems
- One (1) faculty member, elected by the College of Education and Human Performance
- One (1) faculty member alternate, elected by the College of Education and Human Performance
