Student Success Committee Charter

I. COMMITTEE MISSION

The Student Success Committee is responsible for the coordination of the university-wide retention efforts. The Committee’s responsibilities include:

  1. Evaluate data to identify patterns in student success.

  2. Share student success data and findings with appropriate stakeholders.

  3. Identify potential strategies to improve student success for student subgroups of concern.

  4. Advocate for student success initiatives across the university.

  5. Monitor student success initiatives and support institutional improvement.

  6. Ensure that the university is informed of all student success initiatives and their outcomes.

II. COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP AND APPOINTMENTS

  • Provost and Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs (Co-Chair, Nature of Office)

  • Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management (Co-Chair, Nature of Office)

  • Two (2) faculty elected from the Beacom College of Computer and Cyber Sciences

  • Two (2) Academic Support Staff, appointed by the Provost
