Our Chemistry Minor with 5-12 Endorsement will prepare you to teach chemistry and its various branches. You will gain a solid understanding of basic chemistry principles, including the study of carbon compounds and reaction mechanisms. Upon completing this program, you will be equipped to create lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and effectively implement classroom management skills.
Admission requirements
An endorsement is a specialized qualification that can be added to a teaching license, which can authorize you to teach in a particular subject, grade level, or educational setting.
To receive the 5-12 endorsement, you must either:
- Be enrolled in one of DSU's education degree programs that lead to teaching licensure or
- Must already hold a valid primary teaching license.
