The Dakota State chapter of Delta Mu Delta inducted four new members into the group this year.
“Delta Mu Delta (DMD) is a National Honor Society exclusively for business students with a GPA of 3.20 or above, after two years in the major at the end of the current school year,” explained Dr. Deb Tech, faculty advisor for the group and associate professor of marketing.
New members are inducted in April of each year.
- Cathy Garvin, business administration major graduating in May 2021, was inducted and named president of DMD.
- Marissa Fick, business administration management major graduating in August 2021, was inducted and named vice president of DMD.
- Jake Hult, business administration finance and management major graduating in December 2020, was inducted and named treasurer of DMD.
- Mark Poncelet, business administration management major graduating in December 2021, was inducted and named secretary of DMD.
Inductees are lifetime members; the four students join 500+ members dating back to the start of the DSU Chapter in 1979.
Members of DMD can apply for scholarships, and include the achievement on résumés. The group also provides continued networking opportunities for members throughout their careers.
