Before you register follow these three steps
To make sure you sign up for the correct registration option, please review the steps below before selecting a link or date.
Step 1: Identify your student type and location
Determine how you will be starting at DSU. Examples include first-time (freshman), transfer, readmitted, online, or non-traditional student. Your student type and location determines which registration section you should use.
Step 2: Know your entry term
Confirm when you plan to start classes at DSU (for example: Summer 2026 or Fall 2026). Selecting the correct entry term is required to ensure you are registered for the right semester.
Step 3: Choose your registration format (first-time students only)
If you are a first-time (freshman) student:
- Students who live within a reasonable driving distance are strongly encouraged to attend an on-campus registration event.
- Students traveling from a greater distance should select a virtual registration option.
Once you’ve completed these steps, select the appropriate dropdown section below to choose your registration date.
Important: Selecting the wrong student type or entry term may delay your registration and course enrollment.

You’re almost a Trojan! Before selecting a date, please double-check that you’re signing up for the term you intend to begin classes at DSU.
Summer 2026 - May/June Start Term
If you’re a first-time (freshman) student planning to start classes at DSU in May or June, please use this link to sign up for your course registration appointment.
Fall 2026 - August Start Term
New first-time (freshman) students starting in Fall 2026 are strongly encouraged to attend new student registration during one of our on-campus registration events. If you are unable to come to campus for one of these dates, we ask that you register for one of our virtual registration day events instead.

Virtual Registration Options
New first-time (freshman) students planning to attend DSU in Fall 2026 as main campus students who are unable to travel to campus for a group registration day are encouraged to sign up for one of the virtual new student registration options below.
Please note that virtual registration is a two-step process. First, students will attend a two-hour registration orientation on the date listed below. Second, students will complete an individual advising appointment, and you will be notified when you are eligible to schedule that appointment.

New first-time/freshmen/transfer students, you will receive a direct invitation from our International Programs office with your registration information. Please do not sign up for any of the events above and keep an eye on your email for that invitation from their office.
