Dakota State University students walking around campus

Preparation + opportunity = success

That's the DSU equation. We're a four-year university with nationally recognized programs, cutting-edge facilities, and the brightest thinkers. But we're also a tight-knit, inclusive community. Small class sizes mean hands-on training and individualized attention. All this with an affordable, public school price that's among the best values in the region.

The Trojan Zone has you covered from required course materials, including textbooks and supplies, to electronic accessories, and DSU apparel.

Textbooks

The bookstore website is where you can find out what course materials you need for class. You can purchase traditional printed textbooks or economical eBooks online at dsubookstore.com. Grab your course schedule and visit dsubookstore.com

Please note that the bookstore no longer carries physical textbooks in the store and you will want to be sure to order all of your supplies prior to the start of the term.

First-day access

Many instructors use First Day Access at DSU. First Day Access includes eBooks and
possibly courseware which is automatically available to you on the first day of class. (Courseware may include interactive content such as assignments, videos, quizzes, flashcards, etc.) Your First Day Access course materials are automatically billed to your tuition and fee statement. Of course, you may elect to opt out of First Day Access if you prefer a printed textbook. If you have a course with First Day Access, you will receive an email giving you all the necessary information.

Open educational resources

Instructors also use Open Educational Resources (known as OER). OER is typically free content that instructors may use either from their personal files or websites.
