As the science behind quantum computing advances, the workforce demand for professionals with expertise in quantum computing and cybersecurity will continue to grow rapidly. Quantum computing leverages the unique properties of quantum mechanics—such as superposition and entanglement—to solve complex problems far beyond the capability of classical computers, leading to needed advancements in encryption, data security, and cryptography critical for the evolving cyber landscape.
The minor in Quantum Computing for Cybersecurity will provide Bachelor of Science level students in AI, Computer Science, Cyber Operations, and Math with basic knowledge of quantum computing, launching them ahead of the curve in their careers. Our curriculum is designed to prepare students with knowledge in quantum computing fundamentals, applying quantum algorithms to cybersecurity problems, implementing post-quantum cryptography techniques, and creating solutions for cybersecurity challenges using quantum computing.
