The Marketing and Communications Department at Dakota State University serves as the university's brand stewards, ensuring the consistent and strategic use of DSU's marks, graphic identity, and brand standards. We collaborate with colleges, departments, and units across campus to provide expert consultation and creative services, including graphic design, photography, and videography, to meet their communication needs.
Marketing and Communications provides strategic and tactical marketing services to advance the university's mission and goals. We specialize in brand management, positioning, messaging, and advertising, building awareness, preference, and loyalty among current and prospective stakeholders, particularly in the areas of cybersecurity and technology.
Dakota State University's visual identity is anchored by two primary marks: the Hex D, our institutional logo, used across all university publications and by Athletics, and the Trojan, our mascot, representing the university's spirit and used by Athletics.
