Whether you’re a lifelong gamer, a casual fan, or new to the sport, DSU’s BBA in Esports Management will prepare you to create content, manage tournaments, serve as esports administrators or coaches, and more.
You won’t just learn skills specific to the esports industry. You’ll develop business acumen and expertise in marketing and promotion, events and facility management, and brand management.

DSU's highly-competitive athletic esports program provides real-world opportunities for students to be involved in the management, coaching, promotion, marketing, communications, and livestreaming of competitions for varsity and junior varsity teams. In this major, you’ll gain expereince in manageing live esports events and developing an understanding of the technical requirements of the esports ecosystem.
The new Athletics Events Center opening fall of 2024 will feature an esports arena for student-athletes, providing a state-of-the-art location to host competitions and produce live esports events.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the B.B.A. degree with an Esports Management specialization, students will be able to:
- Analyze fundamental business principles as they apply to managing events in the esports industry.
- Develop, promote, and manage esports events.
- Understand the technical and environmental aspects of the esports ecosystem.
- Describe the technical requirements involved in producing esports programs.
- Use communication strategies tailored to the management of specific audiences in the esports setting.
