Preparation + opportunity = success

That's the DSU equation. We're a four-year university with nationally recognized programs, cutting-edge facilities, and the brightest thinkers. But we're also a tight-knit, inclusive community. Small class sizes mean hands-on training and individualized attention. All this with an affordable, public school price that's among the best values in the region.

Enrollment and Degree Verifications

An enrollment or degree verification can provide confirmation of enrollment status, dates of attendance, and degree(s) conferred. Verifications can be used to confirm enrollment or confirm degree(s) to lenders, insurers, employers, and much more.

Enrollment Verifications

An enrollment verification is an official document that provides enrollment status. It does not include individual course or grade information and does not include GPA. If you are looking for grades and GPA, you can access your unofficial transcript or request an official transcript.

Dakota State University has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) to act as our certifying agent for providing enrollment verification for students. Through the NSC MyHub portal, current students and alumni can access enrollment verifications 24/7 at no cost.

Enrollment Verifications include:

  • Student Name
  • Semester(s) Enrolled
  • Start and End Dates of Each Semester
  • Enrollment Status (Less than Half Time, Half Time, Three-Quarter Time, Full Time)
  • Expected Graduation Date

The National Student Clearinghouse certifies enrollment to most national lenders for student loan deferments. Our agreement with NSC enables your lender to retrieve your enrollment information directly from NSC, which eliminates the need for students to submit an enrollment verification each term. For students holding Federal student loans, your enrollment is verified automatically therefore you should not have to complete the paperwork sent to you in the mail each term.

Degree Verifications

Alumni can access a degree verification through the National Student Clearinghouse MyHub portal at no cost. DSU did not begin reporting degrees to NSC until Summer 2004 – if you graduated prior to summer 2004, we recommend you order an official transcript.

Most requestors require a transcript indicating degree completion for their files. If the NSC degree verification does not meet requirements for the requestor, you can obtain your degree information through your official transcript.

  1. Go to MyHub.org
  2. Select Login (upper-right corner)
  3. Find 'Use your Google or LinkedIn'
  4. DO NOT Enter College Name directly (this feature only works for current students)
  5. Select either Sign In with Google or Sign In with LinkedIn
  6. You will be prompted to login through your Google or LinkedIn account
  7. Follow the prompts to locate your record in Clearinghouse and create an account
