Prevention of Unethical & Aggressive Recruitment Practices
Dakota State University forbids the offering of commissions, bonuses, or any form of incentive payments, whether direct or indirect, for the sole purpose of enrolling students or securing federal financial aid, which includes TA funds, to any individuals or entities involved in student recruitment, admissions activities, or the determination of student financial assistance eligibility. Furthermore, Dakota State University strictly disallows high-pressure recruitment techniques, including making repeated unsolicited contacts (three or more) through phone calls, emails, or in-person interactions, as well as engaging in same-day recruitment and registration with the aim of enrolling service members in non-credit courses or programs.
Dakota State University as a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling follows the guidelines laid out in the NACAC’s Guide to Ethical Practice in College Admission.
