Whether you’re struggling in classes, experiencing relationship issues, or are concerned by your substance use or someone else’s, Dakota State counseling is here for you.
What we offer
The Counseling Center provides free, confidential, counseling services to enrolled students. Most students' counseling needs can be readily addressed by the center's professional staff through the following services:
- Academic strategies resources
- Case management services
- Consultation
- Crisis intervention
- Individual and group counseling (Currently counselors are only licensed to provide this service in the state of South Dakota)
- Wellness programming

Telehealth services
Due to the impact of COVID-19 on our community and campus, the DSU Counseling Center continues to utilize telehealth services. Telehealth sessions will be attended remotely via Zoomhealth.
