Center of Excellence in Computer Information Systems
Be a Technology Leader in any Field
The Center of Excellence (CoEX) is an interdisciplinary academic program that is open to all students who maintain a GPA of 3.2 or higher. Students must complete an 18-credit hours minor from the approved list of CoEX courses. The CEX minor must include 6 credit hours at the 400-level, with some of the 400-level credits earned in a capstone experience course.
The primary goal of the Center of Excellence in Computer Information Systems is to prepare graduates who can take the lead in the development and application of information technology tools in business, industry, government, and education. The Center of Excellence provides an opportunity for students who demonstrate superior academic performance, exhibit leadership potential and have a desire to participate in Center events to become members by adding the academic minor. Students from any program of study may be admitted if they meet the admission standards.
