Pathways to research

DSU students in a science classroom

The Student Mentored Research Initiative (SRI) Program for Undergraduates provides students with the chance to engage in research under the guidance of a faculty member, offering hands-on experience. Projects can be initiated by either students or faculty, and both parties receive budgetary support for the project.

Annually, DSU chooses a cohort of undergraduates to take on leadership roles through these awards.

The Research Assistant and Mentor Program (RAMP) connects students who qualify for Federal Work Study with opportunities to work one-on-one with a faculty research mentor in any major or field. These creative and research experiences can be proposed by a student or mentor.
